Did you know 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop invasive breast cancer? I know I never expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer, let alone at age 35. There are so many impacts to a young woman's life once diagnosed. Women under the age of 40 most likely do not have the advantage of a large savings account. They are young professionals that are renting apartments, paying off college, and paying car loans. They are working long hours, they are paying for daycare for their children.  In my case, we were still paying off hospital bills from our son's birth four months prior. Many rely on their jobs for the health insurance that their life now depends on. Thousands of dollars in bills are accrued very quickly. One of the big questions in my mind after being diagnosed was, how am I going to pay for this? How am I going to pay the babysitter so I can go get chemotherapy? Polite Tumor came alongside me when I needed it the most and they have done the same for countless young women. The money that they receive goes directly to women in $5,000, no questions asked, grants. Their mission is to give women the opportunity to look beyond their diagnoses and their treatment to heal, however they define it. If that's not beautiful, I don't know what is!

Would you consider giving a young woman like me a chance to breathe? A chance to have one less worry in the middle of the night? I would be so grateful. You can donate on my facebook fundraiser or directly on the site here https://www.politetumor.com/donate-index-impact

Tata for now,
